Module 2: Forgive Yourself
I’ll be okay once I’m perfect.

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

~ ANTOINE DE SAINT-EXUPERY

Practicing the lesson - post your answers below!

Notice how many times in one day you judge yourself as better or worse than others based on your concepts of perfection.

  1. Do you use your concepts to feel that you are not good enough, or that you are too much (as though your personality is too big for people to handle), or that you are unworthy of love or success in life (as if you should make yourself smaller so no one sees the worthless person that you REALLY are)?
  2. Make a list of those judgments and then as an act of surrender, burn them.
  3. Now that you have surrendered the concepts you have used to judge yourself, create a new thought acknowledging your perfection knowing that the universe only creates perfection.
  4. Then forgive yourself for the pain you have created within yourself from believing that you are not perfect. ♥

Today’s Affirmation

I forgive myself for using my image of perfection to condemn myself and others. I know others are acting from their point of view and that has nothing to do with me. I respect ALL points of view regardless of whether or not I agree with them.

An ah,ha…It is excellence not perfection that I desire, and it is only excellence that I can aspire to….I can only do my best. God has me covered in the perfection department.
